What is fossil coral?
It is an ancient coral reef that crustal movement lifted above sea level and exposed on land. ACTIVITY 35 uses 100% fossil coral quarried on Yonaguni Island in Okinawa, formed roughly 100,000 years ago. It contains 74 natural minerals, with calcium as the main component. How does it differ from supplements made with coral sand (weathered reef coral)?
Coral sand is a granular coral collected from the seabed; third-party analysis puts its fossil coral content at 13.7%, with shell fragments, foraminifera and other material mixed in. Fossil coral from Yonaguni Island is quarried on land as food, and analysis shows a fossil coral content of 100% with no foreign material.
Does it have a taste? Is it hard to drink?
The powder itself is close to tasteless and odourless, and simply turns water faintly cloudy. Using the enclosed edible citric acid adds a refreshing tartness; if you do not care for sour flavours, reduce the amount of citric acid.
How long does one bottle last?
One bottle of ACTIVITY 35 contains 45 g. At the recommended 1–2 g per serving and 2–5 g a day, that is about 45 servings — roughly three weeks to a month and a half of daily use.
Why is citric acid included in the set?
Because calcium carbonate, the main component, does not dissolve readily in water. In a solubility test, only 6.1 mg dissolved when 0.5 g of coral calcium carbonate was added to 1 L of purified water; adding citric acid dissolves and ionises almost all of it. The set includes edible citric acid (purity 99.5% or higher) so that you can drink the calcium in dissolved form.
Has the safety of the product been established?
Unfired calcium made from fossil coral is designated as a food additive (an existing additive) in Japan, a material of recognised safety. The only ingredient is coral powder — 100% natural, with no colourings or preservatives. Because it is quarried on land rather than collected from the seabed, it is also far less exposed to marine pollution.
Can I take it while pregnant or under medical treatment?
This product is a food, but if you are under medical treatment or pregnant please consult your doctor before use. Check the ingredients if you have any food allergy, and stop using the product if it does not suit you.
The powder has set solid. Is there a problem with quality?
Lumps may form before or after opening, but this does not affect quality, taste or safety. Store the product in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.

Is there a shipping charge? When will my order arrive?
Shipping is free anywhere in Japan, and orders are normally dispatched within 3–5 business days of confirmation. For delivery outside Japan, please contact us before ordering: we will confirm availability, shipping cost and any customs duties.
Do you ship internationally?
Please contact us before placing an order. The prices and shipping terms shown on this site apply to deliveries within Japan. Import rules for foods differ from country to country, so we confirm each destination individually.
